Ninja Game Wednesday # 2

No new ninja games came out this week, so I am featuring a game that came out a little while ago for the Mochi 60 seconds or less contest.  So with out further ado here it is Ninja Cubes

Test your ninja skills! Collect as many Ninja Cubes as you can in 60 seconds!

Basically you have to move your mouse over has many ninja has you can in 60 seconds, the level designs are well thought out and make this a top notch game.   So lets see what kinda of ninja you are and try and beat the top score.

So Santa didn’t give you that copy of Adobe CS4 Master Collection.  Or for that matter just a plain copy of Flash CS4 would have been nice.  Well not to worry  here is a list of everything you need to get up and running on making Flash Games.  So without further ado here is the complete list of tools.

• Adobe Flex SDK if you don’t get anything else on this list  you are going to need to get this.  This is complier that will turn all your ActionScript  into games (swfs)
• FlashDevelop is the premiere free IDE for ActionScript, some will even argue that it is better then Adobe Flex Builder which at the time of this article went for $249 for the standard version.  I would recommend getting this even if you do have  Flash CS3/CS4 cause it beats the Flash’s internal IDE hands down.
• Well you need something to create/edit those images right well you have a couple of choices here. You can go with paint.net or gimp, and when you want to create some vector graphics you have Inkscape.
• Well you done made your awesome game now you want to make some money$$$ off of it.  Well look no further than Mochi API, with this you can place ads, micro transactions, leaderboards, and live updates.  Sign up here

Ninja Game Wednesday

Every Wednesday I am going to recommend at least one Ninja Flash Game. So to start off the first edition, I am going to introduce to you Ninja Santa.  It made by the owner of sharkpie.com 

Ninjas have santas too. And forget about chimneys, this aspiring ninjaSanta is descending into the bottomless pit armed only with awesome jumping abilities and his shurikens.

New Christmas Game

Hey everybody just in time for Christmas (Just barely I know) I have released my new Game SnowMan's Challenge. I used Emanuele Feronato Gold Miner tutorial If you don't read his blog, you really should it is one of the best flash game tutorial blogs out there. His tutorial is in ActionScrip 2, I did mine all in ActionScript 3 and I will be doing a short tutorial on the game in ActionScript 3. So tell me what you think, and check back for updates.

Things I have learned from my second flash Game Animal Match

Ok it has been a little while since I created my ponx clone. I am going to share somethings that I have learned about my game Animal Match.

Things I did right

• Game worked as should with no bugs
  
• The game reached almost 10x the amount of plays in its first week then my chicken crossing game
  
• Learned some more Actionscript 3

Things I should have done better

• Better background design
• Better game play, what I mean by this is create more incentives to play my game. Example Bonus points for getting 4 + matched,
• The speed of the game was to fast, this was my number one complaint.
• Add a highscores API, and music

So overall it was a great learning experience and I am already working on my next flash game. I will go into some detail about it in another post

MY FIRST EVER FLASH GAME

Hey here is my first every flash game, its pretty simple and nothing to brag about but it has all the game play elements that you would find in any other flash game. Don't worry new and better games are coming :). Well with out further adieu here it is Chicken Crossing. So hurry up and get your chicken on!
